12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS.
In the spirit of family love and remembering what’s important.
As we lead up to Christmas I’ve been thinking a lot about my favourite Christmas memories some are from my childhood and others are from more recent times but they are all about connecting, connecting with my environment (I just LOVE getting all cosy at home, together with the smells of the season), with friends, who inevitably I’ve not seen as much as I would have liked and of course my family both immediate and extended.
I don’t know about you but recently I’ve been trying to juggle so much as a result the year has just flown by. I’ve been worried that the Christmas period would go the same was so this year I’m have a concerted effort to have 12 special days over the Christmas period, a chance for us as a family to take time to connect with one another amongst all the hustle, bustle and merriment of the season.
I did contemplate a whole advent of activities but 24 days of commitment felt too dominating, what with lots of my time spent chasing after a highly active toddler and the constant juggle of work and family life. So I’m going for quality not quantity and instead I’ve drawn up a list of 12 Chrismassy things for us to do as a family, not just in the run up to Christmas but also in that week between Christmas and New Year which can sometimes feel a bit void, a no mans land where you have nothing to do but eat your body weight in cheese and then the same in chocolate.
Anyway I thought I would invite you to share in the fun and bring you along for the ride. So here is my families 12 days of Christmas. Feel free to join in or just follow along.
